Responsible Production
Responsible Production at HOCHE
At HOCHE, responsible production and sustainability are more than just buzz words—they are the very essence of our brand. Our approach ensures that each product meets the highest standards of luxury, while remaining deeply committed to ethical and sustainable practices.
SEDEX/BSCI Compliant Manufacturing Facility
We produce our bags in a SEDEX/BSCI-compliant facility, ensuring that artisans are fairly compensated and work in a safe, secure environment. This commitment reinforces our dedication to upholding the highest ethical standards in responsible manufacturing.
Small Batch production
Our bags are produced in limited, small batches to ensure meticulous attention to quality and craftsmanship. By reducing overproduction and waste, HOCHE aligns with sustainability goals while delivering exceptional, long-lasting products.
Lifetime Service Warranty
HOCHE bags are designed to last a lifetime. We offer a lifetime service warranty against manufacturing defects, encouraging the longevity of our products and supporting a sustainable, non-disposable fashion culture. Our commitment ensures that our bags remain cherished possessions rather than waste.
Upcycling and Waste Minimization
At HOCHE, we embrace sustainable practices by transforming production waste into small leather goods such as luggage tags, keychains, and cardholders. This thoughtful re-purposing of materials helps minimize environmental impact while offering beautifully crafted accessories that embody our commitment to conscious craftsmanship.
Premium plastic free packaging
Every aspect of the HOCHE experience is designed with sustainability in mind, including our packaging. We have reduced plastic usage by 99% and include a plantable tag and thank you card, allowing your purchase to blossom into a beautiful plant, further enhancing our eco-conscious commitment.
Future Vision
At HOCHE, we recognize that we are just beginning our journey, and while we may still have areas to improve, our commitment to conscious fashion is unwavering. We've established an ambitious yearly roadmap to further our responsible production efforts:
- 2025: Achieve 100% recyclable packaging with zero plastic usage.
- 2026: Launch our forestation initiative, where each order will contribute to tree planting. Customers will receive a detailed report outlining the carbon footprint reduced with every purchase.
- 2027: Transition to using 100% vegetable-tanned leather. Currently, we use a mix of vegetable and chrome-tanned leathers, but our goal is to adopt fully sustainable, chrome-free alternatives.
- 2028: Partner exclusively with Leather Working Group (LWG) Gold Standard tanneries to ensure the highest standards of sustainability in leather production.
